Cutting Edge Cookies – Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with Cutting Edge Cookies, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure transparency, protect the interests of both parties, and support the smooth operation of your order.

1. Deposit & Payment Terms

• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Your order is not considered confirmed until this deposit is received.
• The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 7 days prior to the order completion date.
• Orders not paid in full by this deadline may be cancelled, and the deposit forfeited.
• Orders placed within 7 days of completion must be paid in full upfront.

2. Order Changes & Cancellations

• Any changes to your order, including design, quantity, or delivery arrangements, must be requested no later than 10 days prior to the scheduled completion date.
• Change requests made after this window cannot be guaranteed and may incur additional costs.
• If you cancel your order:
  • More than 10 days prior: the deposit is forfeited.
  • Within 7 days of completion: the full payment is forfeited, as production planning and materials have already commenced.

3. Customisation & Refund Policy

• All Cutting Edge Cookies products are custom-made and handcrafted to order. As such, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind
  • Dislike of flavour, colour, or design once approved
  • Subjective differences in icing or presentation

• We take great pride in our work and ensure every effort is made to meet your expectations. If a genuine issue arises, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order for review.

4. Collection & Delivery

• Orders may be collected from our nominated pickup location at the agreed-upon date and time.
• We also offer postage delivery within Australia at the customer’s cost, to be quoted at the time of order.
• While we take every precaution when packaging, Cutting Edge Cookies is not liable for any damage, delay, or loss that may occur during transit with third-party postal or courier services.

5. Storage Instructions

• Cookies should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.
• Do not refrigerate, as this may affect the icing or fondant detail and texture.
• Cookies are best consumed within 3 weeks of pickup or delivery.

6. Allergens & Ingredients

• All products are made in a kitchen that handles gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts, soy, and other allergens. While every care is taken to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free product.
• It is the responsibility of the customer to inform us of any allergy requirements prior to ordering.

7. Photography & Promotions

• We reserve the right to photograph any product we create for promotional use on our social media platforms, website, or marketing materials.
• No personal information or customer details will be shared in connection with these images unless explicit permission has been granted.

8. Customer Acceptance

By placing an order and making payment (deposit or full), you agree to all terms outlined above. This includes understanding the policies regarding customisation, refunds, payment timelines, and delivery conditions.
